The Journey Begins at the Rose Bowl
...It all began here...her first days of retirement.
Where else would she rather be? Yes, in the Rose Bowl,
watching her beloved Trojans. So, here it begins...
...12/29/03 Chris...if you are coming home and just
happen to see THE game, I'll be on the far left of the USC
side/Press side -- Row 47 just barely on in the 10 yard
line/End zone area.
---12/2/04 Happy New Year to all from (rainy)
California! Not to fear, the sun was shining yesterday as we
trounced Michigan at the Rose Bowl!! Thanks to Roger for
getting me the tickets -- the seats in the End Zone were
just terrific! And Eric showed up at Gate A and joined me in
cheering for my team -- the great USC Trojans. I tried out
LA's new "metro" getting to the game. It's not quite the
same as "our" metro, but not a bad start for a city that's
in love with the auto. Took a short tour around my beloved
campus, although most of the buildings have been replaced
(including my old dorm). But Tommy Trojan still stands
proudly in the center of campus (although somehow he looks a
little smaller than he used to --- hummmmm).
Off to Auckland tomorrow. Not sure whether they will have
computers on board the ship, but I'll check in the next
chance I get!
...It was a really fabulous game. My team just ROCKS -- and
wait until next year. The very best was when Matt Leinart
ran a reverse and caught a pass thrown by Mike Williams --
what a stunner!!!! I am so glad I was able to do this -- it
was something to treasure for a long time.
